Maidstone Rural Youth Project
The Try Angle Award
Langley (MRYP) got nominated for Bravery
I would like to let you all know about some fantastic achievements from Maidstone Rural Youth Project young people.
The Try Angle awards are held every year for young people that aren't necessarily brilliant at a sport or activity but that try their best and go out of their way to help others or makes things better for someone - or themselves!
This year on 2nd July 2010 Try Angle Awards, Maidstone Rural had an astounding 2 wins and 2 more nominations, with another one of young people winning an award although not nominated through us!
They are as follows:
Distorted Dance Group (Beth Simpson, Kt Bishop and Jo Nokes) (based in Marden) WINNERS Personal Achievement in the Arts. Distorted also performed at the awards on the night!
Bobby Kerr (Sutton Valence) WINNER Personal Development
Sam Lain (Staplehurst) WINNER Volunteering and Service to the Community
MRYP – Maidstone Rural Youth Group ( Langley) Nomination - Bravery
Kt Bishop (Coxheath) Nomination - Citizenship and Environment
I know I speak for all MRYP staff when I say that we are so proud of our young people and well done to everyone that was won, was nominated or performed at the awards!

What’s your opinion?
You have probably seen all the new equipment
installed recently in the Play Area. Firstly we want to know if we have
got the right stuff? Secondly we need you to look after it! And finally
we want to know what else you would like… with in reason of course!
So please take a few minutes to download the questionnaire below and answer
the questions and return. |
